Lavrio, a once glorious rich city in Ancient Greece, has signs of habitation from the Neolithic period. A small town that is built around the harbor facing the island Makronisos with remarkable buildings and the must – see old fish market. You can visit the numerous beaches around the town or explore the ancient sightseeing like Cape Sounion Temple and Thorikos ancient theater.

DAY 1

Transfer from the Airport to the hotel for check in.

Welcome drink at the hotel for a short briefing about the program

 

DAY 2

Roundtrip transfer for two morning dives at Apollonia VI Wreck and Portugal Wreck – Spot 1. The cargo vessel Apollonia VI offers a very nice dive for advanced divers. The bow and the stem are lying in relatively shallow waters. The M/V Portugal wreck is lying in a depth of 26 to 40 meters offering another exciting diving spot in the reef.

 

DAY 3

Roundtrip transfer for two morning dives at Portugal Wreck – Spot 2 and The Parking Lot dive sites. The second piece of M/V Portugal after the collision floated around two nautical miles where it was finally sunk. The exact location of the wreck remained unknown until recently and that allowed nature to convert the ship into an artificial reef. The second dive site is an underwater parking lot, with every kind of car parked in!

Proposed itinerary: visit Acropolis and Acropolis museum (7 hrs)

 

DAY 4

Roundtrip transfer for two dives at S/S Rosa Vlasi wreck and the Canyon dive sites. Rosa Vlasi, a cargo steamship, sunk southwest of Makronisos Island during a storm. It is located intact in a depth of 51 meters lying on its port side. The second dive is an underwater canyon starting at 8m ending at 20m, with amazing colors and many kinds of underwater life. At its deep exit a big rock going down to 40m, awaits divers for an incredible wall dive.

 

DAY 5

Roundtrip transfer for two morning dives at Kyra Leni wreck and Monroza wreck. The cargo ship Kyra Leni sunk in 1978 very close to Patroklos island. The Italian cargo ship Monrosa was sunk outside Anavissos after an attack from the British submarine HMS Triumph during WW II. A challenging dive even for the most advanced technical divers.

 

DAY 6

Roundtrip transfer for two morning dives at U-133 wreck and Cape Sounio dive sites. The German submarine U 133 sunk during World War II when it hit a mine and lies at 78 meters. Cape Sounio dive is just underneath the ancient temple of Poseidon and consists of small caves and canyons with incredible colors.

DAY 7

Departure transfer
