Kefalonia, one of the largest and greenest islands in the southern Ionian sea, famous for its many wonderful beaches, fine sand and calm, crystal clear waters, is the perfect holiday destination for singles, couples, families and for the newlyweds for their honeymoon. Having experienced the beautiful surroundings the lovely climate and the traditional Kefalonian hospitality, it will make this idyllic island difficult to depart from.

The island’s characteristic giant rocks, great caves, reefs, walls, wrecks and rich underwater life provide numerous exciting dive sites for divers of all levels.

Caves, rich with underwater life (plants and animals), ancient wrecks that give the diver the opportunity to discover a part of history, reefs, that host all the fishes of the Mediterranean sea combined with the temperature of the water, the visibility which exceeds 40 meters, as well as the weather conditions, make Kefalonia an ideal diving destination for all divers.

DAY 1

Transfer from the Port to the hotel for check in.

DAY 2

Walk to the beach for two morning dives at HMS Perseus Submarine Wreck and Karavomilos Cave dive sites. The British wreck is a challenging dive, that offers to the diver a unique diving experience facing one of the most impressive war machines of Second World War. The second dive is a semi fresh water cave with stalagmites. A perfect combination of cave dive and marine life as the cave connects with the sea.

DAY 3

Walk to the beach for two morning dives at Christine Lome Wreck and Roman Wreck dive sites. The ferry sunk while transporting three trucks from the island. Two remain inside while the third one that was separated stands only a few meters away from the wreck. The ancient roman wreck sunk on the rocks around 2000 years ago. The vessel has long since rotted, but left behind over 1000 amphorae. The more experienced divers can descend to 35m to see the ship’s anchor.

DAY 4

Walk to the beach for two morning dives at Airplane WWII Junger 88 Wreck and Zervati Cave dive sites. The German bomber lies uncorroded and visible at 22m of depth with the tail section also accessible at 36m of depth. The second dive is a semi fresh water cave dive with unique landscape.

DAY 5

Walk to the beach for two morning dives at St John’s Wall and Cyclop’s Cave dive sites. The first wall drops to 35m depth offering spectacular view in all directions. The second dive is in northern Ithaca where a wall starts from 16m up to 46m of depth. At 16m it is possible to swim into a spacious cave where there is also another entrance at 35m making the upper exits brilliantly bright and vividly blue as seen from below.

DAY 6

Walk to the beach for two morning dives at the Lobster Wall and the Mine Reef dive sites. A dramatic wall dropping to a 35-meter deep lobster cavern, draped in an old fishing net. The diver can see the wall dropping to a 50 meter sand bed. The second dive site is a deactivated WW2 sea mine with the most diverse sea life in the Mediterranean, including sea bream, lobsters, octopus, groupers, rainbow wrasse, scorpion fish and moray eels.

Farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 7
