Lefkada Island is located in the western side of mainland Greece and is part of the Seven Ionian Island complex in the Ionian Sea. The island of Lefkada is characterized by the crystal clear turquoise waters, by its fertile land (blanketed with olive groves sustained by the winter rains) and its famous white pebble beaches. The island offers a variety of destinations with natural and cultural interest as well as sports resorts for diving, MTB, windsurfing, kite surfing and sailing. The high mountains of the island form unique scenery of traditional style villages with green surroundings and taverns with local dishes. The volcanic underwater landscape of Lefkada has been formed through history by a large number of earthquakes. Impressive steep drop offs, caverns, caves and beautiful reefs complement unique scenery.

The marine biodiversity is reasonably rich compared to the rest of Greece, as the east side of the island is a Natura 2000 protected zone with restrictions posed on fishing.

DAY 1

Transfer from the Port to the hotel for check in.

Welcome drink at the hotel for a short briefing about the program

DAY 2

Walk to the beach for two morning dives at Americano Reef and Poseidon’s Reef dive sites.

Reefs with perfect visibility, plenty marine life and biodiversity.

DAY 3

Walk to the beach for two morning dives at Christina Wreck and caves dive sites. Christina is a 50 meters-long ferry undamaged, with 1 truck onboard and another one 20m away that lies on the top size at a sandy bottom and forms an artificial reef that attracts numerous different types of fishes.

Cruise to the Islands of Meganissi and Scorpios (6 hrs)

DAY 4

Walk to the beach for two morning dives at Abyssal Wall and Kastri Reef dive sites. Both sites offer amazing dives with rich marine life and great visibility.

DAY 5

Walk to the beach for two morning dives at the Bardge Wreck and the Light House Wall dive sites. The first dive is a very interesting site that combines cave, wall and wreck dive. Amazing bottom topography and a wreck of a bardge 50m long that lies on a rocky bottom with a max depth of 25 meters. The Light House site is an open sea dive with a wall descending at 30 meters creating a beautiful reef with rich marine life and a lot of pelagic fish around, too.

DAY 6

Walk to the beach for two morning dives at the Blue Cave and the Canyon dive sites. The Blue cave is a cavern vault with a high diversity of soft sponges. Natural light enters the cavern in a unique way. The Canyon dive site is a wall that reaches 30 meters of depth at the end of which exists a big swim-through cave.
