The cave is accessed through a tight entrance via a halocline effect. The crystal-clear sweet water of the cave is drinking water quality, having travelled from the white mountains of Crete, and also some 10 degrees colder than the seawater outside. Large stalagmites and stalactites greet you and you need to take care not to disturb sand on the cave floor.
