The last for 2015 GhostFishing Project held on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 of December to Telendos and cape Pnimenos at Kalymnos island of Greece, with divers from Buck Institute for Divers Education – BIDE.

This is a global action entitled Healthy Seas – Thread plucked from the sea, in which thousands of abandoned nets collected in order to be converted into socks, swimwear, shirts and even carpets.
MEDASSET coordinates the actions in Greece, while the diving section coordinated by BIDE, Sea the diving center Sea Breaze and diving instructor Spyros Kollas.
The team managed to gather about 250 pounds of ghost nets in day one and more than 1,200 pounds in day two, from depths 15 – 35m.

Valuable and critical was the hospitality and the support of the diving center Diver’s Island Kalymnos and his Director Michalis Koumbaros.
